Quality Assurance Manager - Operations Salary: Competitive Grade: GG12 Location: Taif, Saudi Arabia JOB PURPOSE BAE Systems is the UK Government's nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons. The purpose of the Salam Quality Assurance Manager - Operations is to undertake surveillance and monitoring activities to ensure that products and service assurance can be demonstrated throughout the organisation, to ensure continued compliance with the competent authority requirements. This surveillance activity directly underpins the Quality, safety and airworthiness of Typhoon operations at KFdAB Taif and extends to the BAE Systems service delivery Business Management System. JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES Responsible to the Fleet Operations Director for administering, regulating and developing the QMS and BMS at KFdAB/ Taif. Briefing the Fleet Operations Director on Quality related issues that impact upon the quality of the service/product. Ensuring that all Quality Assurance activities are undertaken IAW established processes and procedures, detailed within both Company and Customer policy and governance, AS EN 9110 and the project Quality Plan and Typhoon Quality Manual. Liaising with the Senior Quality Assurance Specialist to ensure that the Assurance Team are suitably trained, qualified, licensed and utilised to deliver effective QA service to support the organisation. Ensuring that the Senior Quality Assurance Specialist manages the team effectively to ensure sufficient risk-based surveillance activity is carried out, to satisfy all stakeholders that a compliant and assured "as designed" and "as operated" system is being delivered. Ensuring that the QA Team are exposed to all areas of the Business, to provide both development for the Team as well as ensuring no stagnation in the service support. Ensuring members of the Quality Team hold the correct qualifications and licenses to enable them to carry out their duties and redundancy is provided to maintain business continuity. Produce and manage a risk-based audit programme to schedule, in which compliance with all applicable customer and regulatory requirements are maintained and opportunities for continuous improvement exploited. Ensure all areas of the organisation receive appropriate Quality Assurance support to match the high tempo of operations. On behalf of the Quality System Owners, schedule, arrange and present a Management Review of Quality which meets the requirement of the Customer Regulatory Framework and the Operational Framework of the Company. Conduct monitoring and surveillance activities on both internal/external sub-contractors and suppliers to confirm their performance is compliant with contractual standards and conditions including the Approved Supplier requirements. Support the introduction of contract change with accurate quality assurance estimates and appropriate quality planning. On behalf of the Function, support all Project Lifecycle activities through quality planning activities that include; the production of Quality Plans and Quality Manual appropriate to the business coverage. To support the achievement of the Quality Function IBP/Business Plan objectives. Provide advice and direction to the organisation with regards to the applicability and compliance with flowed down contractual standards and conditions. On behalf of the Quality System owners, manage and approve the closure of quality occurrences pertaining to the organisation and escalate any quality issue to off-base agencies. Investigate and report on customer complaints. Act as focal point and organisation champion for Quality related matters including; the delivery of familiarisation training to the organisation RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION

The jobholder shall have an engineering background and extensive proven experience in a Quality / Assurance environment.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Recognised engineering trade qualification.

ISO9001 or AS9110 qualified Lead Auditor

Must have a detailed knowledge and experience of the current BAE Systems Quality Management System and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.

Strong understanding and experience of corporate governance, compliance activities and processes within BAE Systems.

Proactive planning, organising and implementing tasks that are required to ensure that BAE Systems Saudi Arabia quality standards conform both with customer (internal & external) and regulatory body requirements

The jobholder has a direct impact on the business through their responsibility for the quality of the tasks performed or services provided.

The jobholder must be able to exchange ideas and information effectively in a concise and logical way, and be sensitive to audience diversity.

The job holder will also require a degree of tact and diplomacy when dealing with others.

Should be able to report both verbal and written to external customers, suppliers and internal customers pertaining to audits and fault investigations as required.
