Quality Assurance Manager Grade: GG12 Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia JOB PURPOSE BAE Systems is the UK Government's nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons. To act as the focal point for all quality related matters across IKIP. The job holder is directly responsible to the Industrialisation Director - Training for all quality matters affecting both Salam and SBDCP. The Quality Assurance Manager also has a reporting line to the Quality Director BAE Systems Saudi Arabia for compliance with Quality Policy and Governance. JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for managing all IKIP quality related activities and tasks as directed by the Industrialisation Director - Training and supported by the Quality Director Will be required to manage, within defined quality process, the evaluation, approval, accreditation and through-life management of vendors for customer deliverables through surveillance plans ensuring the satisfaction of customer and regulatory requirements for quality, and ensuring elimination of quality risk. Will be required to manage and if required, lead and conduct audits, assessment and investigations into product and/or process failures in line with business needs. Job holder will provide an interface with internal/external customer and supplier/subcontractors on all quality assurance matters and shall be an efficient communicator with confidence and experience in dealing with these parties. Responsible for the management and reporting of the BMS and the associated Document Management System. As required, providing a quality Focal Point for MoDSAP and other Customer quality representatives to include the provision of an independent service and Point of Contact for the resolution of Customer quality complaints. Produce and prepare Quality Plans in line with LCM requirements. Produced comprehensive reports to assure IKIP activities are addressed to the customer's satisfaction. Ensure quality performance is regularly reviewed and reported to Quality Reviews supporting the identification of risks, improvements and areas of good practice. RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION The jobholder shall have extensive experience in BAE Systems Quality / Assurance Function. Degree in Engineering or appropriate QA experience. Quality qualifications e.g. Certificates or Diplomas ISO9001 or AS9100 qualified Lead Auditor Recognised engineering trade qualification. Experience and knowledge of the BAESSA Supplier Approval Process Must have a detailed knowledge and experience of the current BAE Systems Quality Management System and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems (and or 9100:2016 AS9100 Rev D). Demonstrated ability to manage people using theory and experience Proven team working skills and the ability to work with and develop multi-discipline teams across the business to achieve the team objective. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong understanding and experience of corporate governance, compliance activities and processes within BAE Systems. Proactive planning, organising and implementing tasks that are required to ensure that BAE Systems Saudi Arabia quality standards conform both with customer (internal & external) and regulatory body requirements The jobholder has a direct impact on the business through their responsibility for the quality of the tasks performed or services provided. The jobholder must be able to exchange ideas and information effectively in a concise and logical way, and be sensitive to audience diversity. The job holder may also require a degree of tact and diplomacy when dealing with others. Should be able to report both verbal and written to external customers, suppliers and internal customers pertaining to audits and fault investigations as required.
