Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Quality Assurance Engineer with 5-6 years of experience in both manual and automation testing, preferably within the

Airline domain

. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with

Java-based automation frameworks

,

API testing

, and a strong understanding of airline workflows such as

Shopping, OfferPrice, Order, and Ticketing

.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze airline business requirements and create detailed

test plans

,

test cases

, and

test data

. Perform

manual testing

for web, API, and backend systems covering shopping, pricing, booking, and ticketing flows. Develop and maintain

automation scripts

using

Java, Selenium WebDriver, and TestNG

. Design and execute

API automation

using

Postman

and

Rest Assured

frameworks. Validate

end-to-end NDC (New Distribution Capability)

workflows -- including AirShopping, OfferPrice, OrderCreate, OrderRetrieve, and OrderCancel scenarios and other APIs. Identify, document, and track defects using

JIRA

, and ensure timely resolution. Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and product teams to ensure test coverage across systems. Participate in

sprint planning, daily scrums, and retrospectives

under Agile methodology. Maintain automation test suites in CI/CD environments (e.g.,

Jenkins, GitLab CI

). Generate detailed test reports and provide feedback for product improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. 5-6 years of combined

Manual and Automation testing

experience. Strong knowledge of

Airline domain concepts

- PNR, NDC APIs, GDS, ancillaries, fares, and ticketing. Hands-on experience in

Java, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG

, and

Rest Assured

. Proficiency in

API testing

using

Postman

and working with

JSON/XML

payloads. Experience in

SQL

for database validations. Familiar with

CI/CD tools

(Jenkins, Git) and

Agile methodology

. Strong understanding of

SDLC

,

STLC

, and

Defect lifecycle management

. Excellent debugging, analytical, and communication skills.

Soft Skills:

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Self-motivated with ownership of deliverables. Excellent communication and reporting skills.
