Job Description

About the role We are recruiting for Quality Assurance Engineer, to be based in Doha, Qatar. The Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible to verify that Qatar Executive CAMO remains compliant with QCAA regulations QCAR No. 1003 of 2006; ANNEX 1 Part M and ANNEX Vc Part CAMO. Specific responsibilities for the role include:
  • Carry out planned Audits and ad-hoc quality surveillance independently when performing such tasks in the capacity of lead auditor or under Senior Quality Assurance Engineer as part of compliance monitoring team to identify and record any finding. Prepare audit report and conclusion as part of ongoing compliance monitoring system.
  • Follow up with auditee for root cause identification & analysis, on time appropriate corrective & preventive actions on audit findings to precisely address the root cause. Make recommendations to assist auditee to avoid repeated findings, where necessary. Ensure all highlighted compliance related matters and airworthiness concerns are actioned accordingly to QE standards.
  • Regularly review regulatory changes and prepare recommendations to update company procedures and manuals (CAME, CPM, SMS, RCO…etc.) in consultation with Senior Quality Assurance Engineer and Manager Technical Quality.
  • Proactively involve in preparation / revisions of company procedures, manuals and quality wires.
  • Maintain personal QE authorization along with all required competences and trainings to perform audits and airworthiness review.
  • Participate in the competence assessment process for the purpose of granting/extending/renewing authorizations of QE CAMO personnel with Manager Technical Quality.
  • Be involve in review of occurrence reports & investigations as and when directed by Manager Technical Quality.
  • Carry out issuance and extension of airworthiness review certificate of Qatar Executive CAMO managed aircrafts endorsed on personal QE authorization.
  • Collect & analyse compliance monitoring data, formulate meaningful reports / presentations with appropriate recommendations for controls over significant shifts pertinent to compliance monitoring system.
  • Attend and participate in meetings and prepare minutes as directed by Manager Technical Quality.
  • Review regulatory and compliance related queries asked by QE CAMO or other departments and report recommendations to the Manager Technical Quality.
  • Communicate accurately and efficiently with internal and external customers in consultation with Senior Quality Assurance Engineer and Manager Technical Quality as and when required.
  • Perform other duties relevant to his/her position as directed by Manager Technical Quality or QE VP- Technical.

Qualifications About you The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent.
OR
  • Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering with ICAO Annex 1 AME license.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in quality assurance mainly with compliance monitoring & auditing with at least 2 years’ experience as an internal /certified auditor.
  • Experience in continuing airworthiness organization / maintenance organization environment / civil aviation authority.
  • QCAA / EASA; Part CAMO, Part M, Part 145 and ICAO SMS training.
  • Received type training on at least one aircraft type managed by Qatar Executive CAMO.
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Course or equivalent formal training on audit techniques.
  • Detailed knowledge of aviation legislation, particularly ICAO, QCAA, EASA & FAA Regulations.
  • Detailed Knowledge of quality management systems, safety management system, continued airworthiness management and aircraft maintenance fundamentals.
  • Problem solving abilities with mathematical and data analysis skills.
  • Good English communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Understanding and application of all applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Conversant with use of computers, AirNav & My Boeing Fleet, Trax, CAMP and AQD.
