Job Description

Cost Estimation:

Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for joinery projects based on specifications, drawings, and other project documents.

Tendering:

Prepare and submit competitive tenders for joinery works, including obtaining and negotiating quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.

Material and Labor Costing:

Assess material quantities, labor, and time required for each project to ensure accurate and realistic cost forecasts.

Project Liaison:

Communicate with project managers, architects, and clients to clarify project specifications and requirements.

Site Visits:

Conduct site visits to assess project needs and gather information to create accurate estimates.

Value Engineering:

Propose value engineering solutions to improve cost efficiency and quality for clients while maintaining the integrity of the design.

Risk Management:

Identify potential risks and contingencies within the project and provide solutions to mitigate those risks.

Reporting:

Maintain records of estimates, project costs, and changes to ensure transparent communication with stakeholders.

Budget Management:

Assist in the preparation and monitoring of project budgets to ensure that costs remain within the financial parameters.

Collaboration:

Work closely with the production team, designers, and suppliers to ensure project specifications are met and delivered on time and within budget.

Compliance:

Ensure all estimates are in compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
