BOQ preparation, cost control, contract administration, and procurement

About the Role

Reporting to the

Manager

, you will play a key role within the

Commercial Department

, managing

cost control, contracts, and commercial reporting

across multiple projects. You will work closely with

project managers, site teams, subcontractors, and junior QS staff

to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, profitably, and in full contractual compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Manage commercial and contractual aspects of interior and fit-out projects from start to completion Prepare, review, and administer contracts, insurance, and guarantees Handle variations, claims, and cost control throughout the project lifecycle Review and certify subcontractor payments and support monthly commercial reports Prepare cash flow forecasts, cost reports, and profitability analyses Prepare detailed

Bills of Quantities (BOQ)

for interior and fit-out works Monitor procurement activities, subcontractor costs, and material expenditures Coordinate with project managers, designers, and contractors to track project budgets Support project close-out, final accounts, and handover documentation Provide guidance and mentoring to junior and assistant quantity surveyors

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in

Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline

8-10 years of professional experience as a Quantity Surveyor

Demonstrated experience in

interior design and fit-out projects

, preferably in the UAE Strong knowledge of

cost control, BOQ preparation, and commercial management

Familiarity with

UAE standards, authority approvals, and procurement processes

Technical & Professional Skills

QS degree with professional accreditation preferred Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills High level of accuracy and attention to detail Leadership and mentoring capability Proficiency in

CCS, PlanSwift, AutoCAD, MS Office

, and financial/reporting tools

Soft Skills

Excellent analytical and numerical skills Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure Strong communication, coordination, and teamwork skills Organized, proactive, and results-driven approach
