Break down MEP components (ductwork, cabling, piping, fixtures, etc.) into measurable items.
Tendering and Bidding
Prepare and float tender documents to subcontractors/suppliers.
Analyze received bids, prepare comparative statements, and support in vendor selection.
Rate Analysis
Analyze and verify unit rates for MEP works including labor, materials, and equipment.

Post-Contract Responsibilities
These focus on monitoring project progress, managing variations, and ensuring budget control.
Interim Payment Applications
Prepare and submit monthly progress billing based on completed MEP works.
Coordinate with the site team to measure actual works done.
Cost Control and Monitoring
Monitor actual project costs vs. budgeted amounts.
Identify cost overruns and suggest corrective actions.
Variation and Change Order Management
Assess impact of design or scope changes on cost and time.
Prepare Variation Orders with supporting documents.
Subcontractor Payments
