Job Description

The

QHSE Marine Officer

is responsible for implementing and monitoring safety standards and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations, ADNOC requirements, and company policies within shipyard operations. The role includes conducting vessel crew briefings, overseeing high-risk activities, ensuring proper permit-to-work systems, and promoting a culture of safety across all marine and yard operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct

vessel safety briefings

for all vessel crew and personnel prior to operations. Monitor

high-risk activities

including

Scaffolding erection/dismantling

,

Sandblasting and painting

,

Critical lifting operations

Ensure

Work Permit Systems

are implemented and strictly followed at all worksites. Verify and enforce compliance with

Critical Lifting Plans

and

Lifting Safety Procedures

. Ensure full

compliance with ADNOC HSE standards

, procedures, and regulations. Conduct regular

site inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments

. Lead and participate in

incident and near-miss investigations

, root cause analysis, and implement corrective/preventive actions. Organize and conduct regular

fire drills and emergency response exercises

. Prepare and submit

QHSE reports

, safety statistics, and documentation for audits and internal review. Collaborate with other departments to enhance overall QHSE awareness and performance. Provide safety training and toolbox talks to enhance workforce safety behavior.

Experience:

B.E. Mechanical Engineering or any other related discipline, NEBOSH is a must

Minimum

3 years' experience

in the shipyard or marine industry in a similar QHSE role. Strong knowledge of

ADNOC regulations

and marine safety standards. Familiarity with

lifting operations, permit-to-work systems

, and

emergency preparedness

. Immediate Joiners are preferred. Candidates on visit visa / cancelled visa within UAE are on priority.
