Job Description

We are seeking a

well qualified and proactive QC & QHSE Officer

to join our team in the wholesale food sector. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in establishing and implementing Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) systems from the ground up, specifically within the food industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement QC, QA, and QHSE processes, SOPs, and documentation for the food trading and processing environment. Oversee quality checks for incoming raw materials (pulses, spices) and outgoing finished goods. Ensure compliance with food safety standards such as HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP, and local regulatory requirements. Conduct internal audits, risk assessments, and workplace safety inspections. Monitor hygiene, housekeeping, pest control, and overall facility compliance. Train staff on food safety, quality procedures, and HSE practices. Handle customer complaints, non-conformities, and corrective & preventive actions (CAPA). Coordinate with suppliers, production staff, and management to maintain consistent product quality. Maintain accurate records, reports, and quality documentation.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Microbiology, Environmental Science, or related field. Minimum 3-5 years' experience in QHSE roles within the food trading/processing industry. Strong knowledge of HACCP, ISO 22000, and other food safety regulatory requirements. Proven ability to establish QHSE systems, documentation, and compliance structures from the ground up. Excellent communication, reporting, and training skills. Ability to work independently, multitask, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
