Company Overview:

A leading producer in the petrochemicals industry is seeking a

QC Manager

to lead R&D and Quality initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in formulation, testing, and process optimization across a wide range of petrochemical products, with a focus on solvents and lubricants.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field 8-10 years of experience in a QC/R&D role within a chemical or petrochemical manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of API standards and guidelines Hands-on experience in formulation, blending, and cost optimization of petrochemical products Familiarity with ISO, QMS, EHS, and GMP compliance Experience in solvents and plasticizer industry is a strong plus.*

Roles & Responsibilities:

Product Development & Formulation

Translate business objectives into actionable R&D strategies Lead new product formulations, ensuring compliance with specifications, MSDS, COA, and regulatory codes Conduct pre-formulation and formulation trials Manage stability, export, and comparative testing samples Execute pilot trials and validation batches, both in-house and outsourced

Process & Quality Control

Develop and implement SOPs for R&D and QC activities Oversee instrument qualification, calibration, and maintenance Ensure testing and analysis of all raw materials and final products using advanced laboratory instruments Maintain documentation and reports for all R&D activities in line with company standards

Quality Management Systems (QMS)

Lead QMS implementation in accordance with ISO standards Conduct internal audits and manage corrective/preventive actions Ensure compliance with GMP, OHSHAS, EHS, and other regulatory requirements Coordinate customer complaint responses with root cause analysis and follow-up actions

Team Management & Training

Train and mentor the QC/R&D team on quality systems and laboratory best practices Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation

Analytical Instrumentation & Lab Management

Operate and maintain advanced analytical equipment including

GC and HPLC

for product analysis and validation Develop, validate, and implement analytical methods using GC and HPLC for raw materials and finished products Perform troubleshooting and calibration of GC/HPLC instruments to ensure accurate and reliable results Interpret chromatographic data and compile analytical reports to support R&D and quality assurance Train lab staff in proper handling and operation of GC/HPLC systems
