Job Description

A QC line inspector in metal fabrication focuses on ensuring that manufactured products meet quality standards. They perform inspections throughout the production process, identify defects, and work with production teams to rectify issues. This role is crucial for maintaining consistent quality and adhering to industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:



Inspecting raw materials:

Ensuring raw materials meet quality requirements before entering the production process.

In-process inspection:

Monitoring the manufacturing process at various stages to catch defects early.

Final product inspection:

Inspecting finished products to ensure they meet customer specifications and quality standards.

Identifying and documenting defects:

Accurately identifying and documenting any defects or non-conformities.

Reporting defects:

Communicating defects to production and quality assurance teams.

Implementing corrective actions:

Working with production teams to implement corrective actions to address identified defects.

Maintaining records:

Keeping accurate records of inspections, test results, and corrective actions.

Operating inspection equipment:

Using various measuring tools and equipment to perform inspections.

Adhering to standards:

Following established quality control procedures, industry standards, and regulations.

Certifications: Certifications

like ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or equivalent, or ASNT NDT Level II, can be beneficial or even mandatory for certain roles, particularly those involving Non-Destructive Testing (NDT).

Skills and Qualifications:

Knowledge of metal fabrication processes: Understanding of different manufacturing techniques, such as welding, machining, and forming.

Knowledge of quality control procedures: Familiarity with quality control systems, inspection methods, and quality standards.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings: Understanding technical documentation and specifications.

Proficiency in using inspection equipment: Ability to operate precision measuring tools and equipment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills: Ability to effectively communicate with production teams and document findings.

Attention to detail: Ability to identify subtle defects and deviations from specifications.

Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify and resolve quality-related issues.


Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED3,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

Ras al-Khaimah: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Diploma (Preferred)
Experience:
