Job Summary/Role Description

Quality Inspector (Mechanical), QCI, checks and guarantees that certificates are prepared and duly collected; moreover, QCI promotes any necessary action to ensure that the final dossier is ready and completed as per contract requirements.

Duties and responsibilities

Prior to the start of works, to check the Supplier's material and technical documentation delivery schedule. Check that the same is in line with Construction schedules and contractual commitments. Ensure the correct implementation of the approved Inspection Test Plan according to Client's requirements. Perform inspections and sign the certificates as per relevant discipline ITP. Raise Non-Conformances in case of work not as per technical specifications. Quality inspections of civil and steel structures surveying activities as per standards and specifications (e.g., excavation and backfilling, concrete pouring checks, steel structures erection). Checks the conditions and quality of the concrete before and during casting. Check and witness concrete crush tests. Review and preparation of red mark-up drawings, RFI's and documentation. Check the documents certifying the tests, controls and inspections carried out to close out both digital and hard copy RFIs. Maintaining status and records of certification. Executes the receiving inspections of civil materials. Reviews the third-party laboratory examination results.

Perform and monitor all activities related to excavation and concrete works.

Person Specification

Knowledge & Qualifications

University Degree or Diploma in relevant discipline or equivalent.

Experience

At least 8-10 years of experience in a specific discipline. The candidates should have experience in

equipment erection.

Similar role covered in projects that are of a comparable size. Experience working on Contractor side.

Skills and Abilities

Significant experience in a similar position Fluent English. Excellent IT and analytical skills. Excellent communications, team-oriented and interpersonal skills. Attention to details. Self-motivation and direction, with a strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution.
