Position Overview:
We are looking for a meticulous Quality Control Engineer to oversee the quality assurance and quality control processes within our mining and crushing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering principles, materials testing, and quality management systems. They will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality standards, conducting inspections and tests, analyzing data, and providing recommendations for process improvement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering principles, materials testing, and quality management systems. They will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality standards, conducting inspections and tests, analyzing data, and providing recommendations for process improvement. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality control procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and customer requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections and tests on raw materials, intermediate products, and finished products to assess their quality and performance.
- Utilize various testing equipment and methods to analyze physical, chemical, and mechanical properties of materials, including but not limited to crushing strength, particle size distribution, and moisture content.
- Collaborate with production teams to identify quality issues, investigate root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain accurate records of quality tests, inspections, and findings, and prepare comprehensive reports for management review.
- Monitor process parameters and quality indicators to identify trends, deviations, and opportunities for optimization.
- Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality control procedures, standards, and best practices.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement initiatives and enhance overall operational efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes related to quality control in the mining and crushing sector.
- Uphold a strong commitment to safety, environmental compliance, and ethical conduct in all aspects of work.
- Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering (Mining, Mechanical, Materials, or related field) required; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience (7 years) in quality control or quality assurance roles within the mining, construction materials, or heavy industry sector.
- Strong understanding of materials testing techniques, quality management principles, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in using quality control tools and software systems for data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable conclusions.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to interact with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy, precision, and thoroughness.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to process improvement.
- Valid professional certifications (e.g., Certified Quality Engineer, Six Sigma) are a plus.
