Key Responsibilities

Inspection & Testing

Perform dimensional, visual, and mechanical inspections of bolts, nuts, and fasteners, including

UCON bolts

, to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and standards (ASTM, ISO, DIN, BS, etc.). Conduct in-house testing and coordinate with

third-party inspection agencies

for verification and certification.

Process Control & Monitoring

Monitor production processes such as forging, threading, heat treatment, coating, and finishing to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout manufacturing. Verify calibration of measurement instruments used during inspection.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain and update all quality records and inspection reports related to fasteners, including:

Inspection and Test Reports (ITRs)

Calibration Certificates

Material Test Certificates (MTCs)

Heat Treatment and Coating Reports

Non-Conformance & Corrective Actions

Identify and document any

non-conforming products

. Initiate corrective and preventive actions, ensuring closure within specified timelines. Support root-cause analysis and implement improvements in processes.

Customer & Compliance

Coordinate with clients, auditors, and third-party inspectors during inspections and audits. Ensure full compliance with

project specifications, industry standards (API, ASTM, ISO), and regulatory requirements

. Prepare required compliance documentation for delivery and project handovers.

Qualifications & Skills

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in

Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, or related field

. Minimum

3-5 years of QC experience

in manufacturing or inspection of

bolts, nuts, and industrial fasteners

. Strong understanding of mechanical properties, metallurgical requirements, and coating specifications (e.g., galvanizing, PTFE, zinc plating). Familiarity with quality standards and procedures:

ISO 9001, API Q1/Q2, ASTM, BS, DIN, ASME

. Proficient in using measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, hardness testers, thread gauges, etc.). Excellent reporting, documentation, and communication skills.
