Job Description

Job Summary:
The QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring that products meet quality and compliance standards before they reach customers. They inspect materials, processes, and finished products, implement quality control procedures, and work with production teams to resolve defects. The role involves testing, documentation, and continuous improvement to maintain high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities: * Quality Inspection & Testing:

  • Perform inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
  • Conduct tests (dimensional, mechanical, chemical, etc.) to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Use measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, CMM, etc.) and testing equipment.
  • Defect Identification & Resolution:
  • Detect defects, non-conformities, and deviations from quality standards.
  • Investigate root causes of quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Work with production and engineering teams to implement fixes.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
  • Maintain inspection records, test reports, and quality documentation.
  • Prepare QC reports for management and clients (if required).
  • Ensure compliance with ISO, ASTM, ASME, or other industry standards.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Develop and improve QC procedures to enhance efficiency and product quality.
  • Participate in audits and suggest process optimizations.
  • Train production staff on quality standards and best practices.
  • Customer & Supplier Coordination:
  • Address customer complaints related to quality and ensure corrective measures.
  • Evaluate supplier quality and conduct audits if necessary.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
  • Ensure adherence to industry regulations (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).
  • Support certification and compliance audits.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field).
  • Experience: 2+ years in QC/QA, preferably in manufacturing, construction, or automotive industries.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Knowledge of quality control methods (SPC, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis).
  • Proficiency in QC tools (calipers, gauges, spectrometers, etc.).
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and quality management systems.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Work Environment:
  • Manufacturing plants, construction sites, or laboratories.
  • May require standing for long hours and occasional overtime.
