Perform daily inspection of civil works including excavation, backfilling, formwork, rebar installation, concrete works, blockwork, and finishing activities.
Verify that all construction activities comply with approved drawings, project specifications, and international standards (ACI, ASTM, BS, etc.).
Conduct inspections for materials delivered to site and review relevant test certificates and documentation.
Prepare and submit Inspection Requests (IRs) / Material Inspection Requests (MIRs) to the consultant and coordinate site inspections.
Monitor concrete tests (slump test, cube samples) and soil tests (FDT, compaction, PLT) as required.
Identify and report non-conformities (NCR) and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
Maintain detailed QC reports, records, and documentation as per company procedures.
Ensure that all activities are carried out in compliance with safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to resolve quality-related issues.
Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Minimum 2-5 years experience in civil quality control or construction supervision.
Strong knowledge of civil construction materials, methods, and standards.
Familiarity with QA/QC processes and ISO 9001 quality management systems.
Good communication and reporting skills.
Proficiency in computer applications (MS Office, basic AutoCAD is a plus).
