MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Degree/Diploma (Preferred Mechanical Engineering) MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

• Able to multitask in an environment with constantly shifting priorities
• Have a working knowledge of codes and standards, minimum of 5 years preferred.
• Have a working knowledge of drawings, sketches, etc.
• Must have intermediate-level knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access
• Must be able to work in a potentially hazardous, metal cutting environment consisting of hot pipe, loud noise, elevated temperatures, and a smoky atmosphere
• Ability to read and write
• Ability to use Measuring and Test Equipment and standard tools, such as tape measures, micrometers, calipers, temperature measuring devices, etc.
• Ability to collaborate and find resolutions to problems or disagreements.
• Ability to provide assessment and coaching of lower-level employees.
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
• Punctual and timely with regular work attendance
• Possess proper work ethics, not limited to, a positive attitude, willingness to learn
• Ability to interpret and evaluate inspection results.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Review of Material Test certificates as per applicable ASTM, API, ASME, etc. standards and supplementary additional requirements as per client or project specification.

• Verify the Supplier or Manufacturer is as per the approved Manufacturer list and material is from the approved country of origin.
• Perform inspection of the materials including, but not limited to visual inspections, material identification including original identification marking, and verification of heat number compared with the Material Test Report.
• Verify size, wall thickness, and heat number/material specification as per approved project procedures and requirements.
• Receiving of welding consumables in accordance with ASME Section II Part C, AWS Specification for Filler Metal, and approved procedure.
• Identify all non-conforming materials or materials with discrepancies and generate applicable reports as per the approved procedure.
• Prepare/Review NCR's/OS&D reports and follow up on close out.

Job Type: Full-time Salary: AED3,898.00 - AED4,385.00 per month Ability to commute/relocate:
