Job Description

Job Purpose:

We are seeking a proactive and technically competent

QA/QC Manager - Civil

with over

15 years of experience

in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in civil engineering, a deep understanding of QA/QC processes, and excellent communication skills. This role is essential in ensuring that all civil works meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance with applicable codes and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain the

Project Quality Management System (QMS)

in accordance with contract requirements and relevant standards Review project specifications, drawings, and method statements to ensure alignment with quality objectives Conduct inspections and testing of civil works including formwork, reinforcement, concrete works, blockwork, plastering, waterproofing, etc., as per approved

Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)

Raise

Inspection Requests (IRs)

, coordinate with consultants and clients, and ensure timely approvals Monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with quality control procedures and standards Collaborate with construction, procurement, and subcontracting teams to verify materials and workmanship Maintain accurate records of inspections, material approvals, test results,

Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)

, and corrective actions Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues and implement preventive actions to avoid recurrence Prepare and maintain all QA/QC documentation, including quality logs, inspection reports, and as-built submissions Support the Project Manager during audits and assist in generating compliance reports

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in

Civil Engineering

(mandatory) Minimum

15+ years

of experience in

civil construction

with a specialization in

quality assurance and control

Strong knowledge of construction materials, practices, and standards (e.g.,

ACI

,

BS

,

ASTM

,

ISO

) Proven experience in coordinating with

consultants

,

clients

, and

third-party testing agencies

Familiarity with local regulatory requirements including

Dubai Municipality

,

DDA

,

Trakhees

, and other authorities

Key Skills:

Excellent knowledge of

QA/QC systems

and

ISO 9001

standards Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective coordination with project stakeholders Detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive in resolving quality-related issues High proficiency in

Microsoft Office

(Word, Excel, etc.);

AutoCAD

skills are an advantage Effective documentation, reporting, and organizational capabilities

Additional Requirements:

UAE or GCC experience is

highly preferred

Valid

UAE driving license
