We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented QA/QC Manager to oversee the quality assurance and quality control activities for a railway project in the UAE. The QA/QC Manager will be responsible for ensuring adherence to quality standards, implementing quality control procedures, and performing regular inspections to identify and resolve any issues during the construction and commissioning phases of the project.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement a comprehensive quality management system (QMS) for the railway project, aligning it with local regulations and international standards.
Establish and maintain quality control procedures, including inspection plans, test protocols, and documentation requirements.
Conduct regular inspections of construction sites, materials, and equipment to verify compliance with quality and safety standards.
Collaborate with project stakeholders to identify and address any quality-related issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on project timelines.
Manage and supervise a team of QA/QC inspectors, providing guidance, training, and support.
Monitor the effectiveness of the QMS through regular audits, evaluating performance against established benchmarks and implementing improvements as necessary.
Prepare and communicate quality reports, highlighting key findings, trends, and areas for improvement to project management and stakeholders.
Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to railway construction and quality control.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
BSc/MSc in Quality Management, Civil Engineering or closely related subject
Proven experience as a QA/QC Manager in the Metro / Rail systems projects. * Strong knowledge of quality management systems, inspection techniques, and quality control methodologies.
Familiarity with local regulations and international standards related to the Metro / Rail systems.
15 years+ post degree experience in Quality (QA/QC) Management/Engineering on major infrastructure projects
Knowledge/awareness of ISO 9001 (Quality Management Systems)
Experience working internationally is preferred (MENA ideally)
