Overview / Responsibilities: Wood is currently looking for QA / QC Manager (Offshore) to work on our Offshore Maintain Potential Program (OMPP) in Al - Khobar, Saudi Arabia We are looking for a person to co - ordinate with all other disciplines Consultant / Principal and / or Lead Engineers to ensure full compliance of the project design with the requirements specified on project design scope and on the relevant industry standards
OMPP is a multi - year, multi program venture covering both greenfield and brownfield offshore projects here in Saudi Arabia the scope of this program includes Engineering & Design, Procurement and Construction Management support

  • Manages all aspects of Quality on assigned project including supervising assigned quality personnel, overseeing the implementation of the Project Quality Plan, acting as primary liaison to client on all quality related issues and responsible for ensuring sufficient training is conducted for project personnel on the Quality Management System and project specific procedures
  • Coordinates contract quality activities with the Project Manager including determining resources, establishing primary objectives and development of the Audit & Surveillance Plan
  • Prepares and maintains project Quality metrics to measure performance of established criteria and communicates information to Construction Manager. Performance improvements initiatives are then developed in conjunction with Project Manager for implementation on the project
  • Works directly with Corporate Quality Manager to develop and implement new quality initiatives on assigned contract and provides feedback on quality issues to ensure continuous improvement initiatives are disseminated to other contracts when applicable
  • Develop and implement the contract Quality Plan, and model discipline ITP’s
  • Ensure that Project procedures are updated, and duly implemented
  • Review, coordinate, and accept all contractors’ deliverables as detailed in the Supplier Document Index such as quality plans, inspection and test plans, method statements, procedures, specifications, materials supplies and certification, trade tests, third party inspection etc. prior to work commencing
  • Ensure that the Contractors Quality Control records reflect the items in the inspection and test plan with strict adherence to identified ‘hold points’
  • Monitor and ensure that a comprehensive record of documentation and certification of work is maintained to support a satisfactory handover of the completed plant to the Client
  • Ownership of the site audit schedule and implementation for construction site operations relating to work practices and procedures
Skills / Qualifications:
  • BS degree in engineering or commensurate level of industry experience
  • Continuous Improvement experience
  • Lead ISO Audit certification advantageous
  • Experience in Early work packages, ISF, TCF and Pipelines
  • 15 years minimum experience in Offshore Engineering Design, Procurement and Construction Management projects
  • Minimum of 8 years audit experience (oil and gas required)
  • Good written, communication and leadership skills
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products including Access
  • Ability to interact and communicate with all levels of staff and management, both internal and external
  • Excellent people skills
  • Possess excellent project management skills including managing resources and budget
  • Ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Ability to maintain regular attendance as per work schedule agreed with manager (may require working an adjusted work schedule based on project assigned and work overtime if warranted)
  • Ability to comply with applicable laws and regulations, the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and other Company policies and procedures
  • Good team leadership in technical, interpersonal and communication skill
  • Good Problem solving - Ability to identify problems, determines solution, and actively works to resolve issues
  • Good Decision making - Knowledge of and ability to use effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions and / or reaching conclusions. Ability to act consistent with available facts, constraints, and anticipated consequences
