QAQC Lead required for a major Offshore Wind Farm Developer based in Dubai.
Responsibilities
Attend readiness reviews / kick off meeting / pre-inspection meetings prior to commencement of the Works at site including at sub-suppliers\xe2\x80\x99 facilities as required.
Participate in the Project Quality management meetings and other HVDC Package management meetings as required, to provide technical/fabrication quality support.
Attend the various site progress meetings at defined frequencies and ensure quality topics are part of the agenda and discussed appropriately. Highlight any concerns for immediate actions.
Regular liaison with the site based independent verification & certification body representative appointed by the Employer on verification activities \xe2\x80\x93 asset and documentation.
Provide support to the Project Quality Manager and the site team on the performance of defined and ad-hoc audits as well as quality gate reviews.
Provide support to the site team on technical deviations, site queries and change requests etc. as required.
Support in the review of quality documentation prior to commencement of fabrication \xe2\x80\x93 Quality Plan, ITPs, fabrication procedures, NDT and coating procedures etc.
Perform inspections and surveillance of materials/components and Works at Fabricator and subcontractor sites, including welding/NDT/coating activities as per accepted ITPs.
Observe that tests, inspections and examinations are performed in accordance with accepted ITPs, approved work procedures, specifications/standards etc.
Observe the verification of the calibration status of all measuring/test equipment and the control of materials including consumables used for the fabrication of the asset and the appropriate records maintained.
Participate in joint walk-downs, final inspections and punch/snag items identification utilising pre-defined checklists at defined stages of the Works and as required.
Review the material and fabrication records progressively and highlight any issues for immediate attention and correction by the contractor.
Report any quality events/non-conformity to the Contractor for immediate actions and notify VF site team as well as the Project Quality Manager and Package team including relevant expert functions e.g Site Management, Material Technology and Corrosion Protection department (MaTCoP). Close collaboration with the Contractor and other VF team in progressing nonconformity to satisfactory closure.
Support the review of the Final As-Built documentation submitted by the Contractors.
Participate in the mechanical completions processes and commissioning Works.
Promote a collaborative working environment with the IVB, the contractor and their subcontractors and discuss all quality matters throughout the Contract.
Provide regular progress reporting on agreed template to the Project Quality Manager and all relevant expert functions e.g Site Management, Material Technology and Corrosion Protection department (MaTCoP), etc on all fabrication quality matters.
Record and present Lessons Learned to the entire Package team at defined stages of the Works.
Monitor and evaluate the Fabricator\xe2\x80\x99s dimensional control.
Monitor the progress of the Fabricator against the expected progress and report to Employer.
Advise the Employer in the signing of provisional acceptances (if any).
