Job Summary:

We are seeking a

Mechanical QA/QC Inspector

with a minimum of 3 years of GCC experience in quality assurance and control for mechanical works, particularly in oil storage terminals, pipelines, and industrial construction projects. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards (ASME, API, ASTM) and hands-on experience in inspection, documentation, and coordination with construction and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine inspections and quality checks for mechanical installations, including piping systems, tank fabrication, and structural components. Review and interpret technical drawings, welding procedures, and material specifications to ensure project compliance. Monitor construction activities to verify adherence to quality plans and client specifications. Conduct and document inspections of welding, fit-up, hydrotesting, and other fabrication/installation activities. Prepare inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and ensure proper documentation and traceability. Coordinate with clients, consultants, and third-party inspectors as required. Assist in the preparation and review of project quality documentation, ITPs, and method statements. Ensure that all quality assurance and control procedures are followed during project execution. Support commissioning and pre-commissioning activities with quality compliance checks. Maintain QA/QC records and support audits as needed.

Qualifications & Experience:

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. Minimum 3 years of relevant GCC experience in the oil & gas or industrial construction sector. Certified in QA/QC practices; welding inspection (CSWIP/BGAS) is a plus. Knowledge of quality management systems, inspection techniques, and documentation control.

Key Skills:

Strong knowledge of welding, piping, and fabrication inspection techniques. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications. Familiarity with codes and standards such as ASME, API, ASTM, and ISO. Excellent attention to detail and strong documentation skills. Good communication and coordination skills.
