Key Responsibilities1. HVAC QA/QC for Data Centres
Inspect, verify, and approve installation of:
AHUs, FCUs, CRAC/CRAH units, ERVs
Supply, return, and exhaust fans
Fire, smoke, and motorized dampers, VCDs, VAVs
Ensure ductwork is installed with:
Correct routing, slope, and alignment
Proper clearance and access for maintenance
Fire-rated construction and airtightness as per data centre requirements
Check insulation and vibration isolation for thermal and acoustic performance.
2. Airflow & Distribution Integrity
Verify ductwork and fan performance to maintain
redundancy and precision airflow
critical for data centre operations.
Inspect damper functionality, balancing, and accessibility.
Identify and resolve potential leakage, misalignment, or airflow disruptions.
3. Testing & Verification
Witness and ensure successful completion of:
Duct leakage and pressure testing
Equipment rotation and alignment checks
Pre-commissioning verification of AHUs, fans, and dampers
Functional testing to meet precise data centre environmental conditions
Coordinate with TAB teams to validate airflow, temperature, and humidity requirements.
4. Coordination & Integration
Collaborate with:
Mechanical, electrical, and ELV teams
Commissioning and TAB engineers
Contractors and subcontractors for proper integration of HVAC systems
Ensure installation aligns with
mission-critical systems, redundancy zones, and operational continuity
.
5. Documentation & QA/QC Compliance
Prepare and maintain:
Work Inspection Requests (WIRs)
Material Inspection Requests (MIRs)
NCRs and corrective action follow-up
Daily QA/QC reports and inspection logs
Review method statements, ITPs, and manufacturer installation guidelines for data centre compliance.
6. Compliance & Safety
Ensure all installations meet:
Data centre design and operational standards
SMACNA, ASHRAE, and local codes
Fire, smoke, and safety regulations
Promote safe working practices in all mechanical installation areas.
Qualifications & ExperienceMandatory Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
or related discipline.
Immediate availability
to join.
Experience
3-8 years of HVAC QA/QC or installation experience, preferably in
data centre or mission-critical environments
.
Proven knowledge of AHUs, FCUs, fans, dampers, and duct systems in
high-precision airflow applications
.
Familiarity with TAB and HVAC commissioning processes.
Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of
data centre HVAC standards
, airflow, redundancy, and precision requirements.
