Implement and monitor QA/QC procedures for structural steel fabrication, including welding and painting activities.
Review and approve welding procedure specifications (WPS), welding procedure qualifications (WPQ), and material certificates.
Conduct inspections and testing of steel components, weld joints, and coatings according to project requirements and international standards (e.g., ISO, AWS, ASTM).
Maintain QA/QC documentation, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCR), and corrective action reports.
Coordinate with production and fabrication teams to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Verify that all welding and painting works are performed as per approved procedures and specifications.
Conduct internal audits and assist in third-party inspections and client audits.
Recommend corrective actions for quality issues and monitor their implementation.
Ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards on the shop floor.
Requirements :
Education: B.E. / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Certification: CSWIP certification (mandatory).
Experience: Minimum 5 years in steel QA/QC, specifically in welding and painting for structural steel fabrication.
Strong knowledge of welding processes, inspection techniques, NDT methods, and painting/coating standards.
Familiarity with international codes and standards (ISO, AWS, ASTM, EN).
Strong documentation, reporting, and communication skills.
Ability to work with production teams and ensure quality standards are met consistently.
