Job Description

Role Purpose:

To support the QA/QC team in implementing and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes, standards, and client requirements. Assist in inspections, documentation, testing, and monitoring activities to achieve high-quality deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation and implementation of Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and QA/QC procedures. Carry out site inspections for materials, installations, and workmanship as per approved drawings, specifications, and standards. Monitor quality control activities and report non-conformities to Project manager. Maintain proper documentation of inspection reports, test results, material certificates, and calibration records. Assist in internal and external audits, including preparation of necessary documentation. Support the control of non-conforming products/processes and follow up on corrective and preventive actions. Coordinate with project/site engineers and subcontractors to ensure quality requirements are clearly understood and met. Conduct checks on received materials to verify compliance with approved material submittals. Assist in the preparation of daily/weekly QA/QC reports for management and client review. Ensure compliance with company Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) policies.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical). 3 to 5 years of experience in QA/QC or quality related field in Shipyard / Marine field Knowledge of QA/QC principles, ISO 9001:2015, and quality management practices. Familiarity with industry standards (ASME, ASTM, BS, IEC, etc.). Basic knowledge of inspection/testing methods and quality documentation.

Skills & Competencies:

Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to prepare and maintain technical reports. Basic computer skills (MS Office, Excel, Word, Outlook). Willingness to learn and grow within the QA/QC discipline.
