QA/QC Engineer
Location: Dubai, UAE
Department: Quality Assurance / Quality Control
Reports To: QA/QC Manager / Project Manager
Job Purpose:
To implement and maintain the project's Quality Management System (QMS) through systematic inspection, testing, and documentation. The QA/QC Engineer ensures that all materials and workmanship comply with the project specifications, approved drawings, and relevant standards.
Key Responsibilities:

• Implement the project ITP (Inspection and Test Plan) and QCP (Quality Control Plan).
• Conduct daily inspections of all ongoing activities (civil, structural, architectural, MEP) and maintain detailed quality checklists.
• Raise and track Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure timely corrective actions.
• Coordinate with third-party testing agencies for material sampling and testing (concrete, steel, soil, etc.).
• Review and approve material submittals, method statements, and inspection requests.
• Monitor the calibration status of all testing equipment and tools on site.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive quality records, including inspection reports, test certificates, and as-built documentation.
• Conduct quality induction and awareness training for site staff and subcontractors.
• Liaise with the consultant's representative for all mandatory inspections and approvals.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or lead auditor certification (ISO 9001) is advantageous.
• Minimum of 8 years of QA/QC experience in building construction, with at least 3 years in a similar role in the UAE.
• In-depth knowledge of construction materials, testing procedures, and international standards (ASTM, BS, ACI).
• Familiarity with Dubai Municipality approval and inspection procedures.
• Meticulous attention to detail, strong documentation skills, and a principled, uncompromising approach to quality.
