The QA/QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all interior fit-out works are performed to the highest quality standards, in compliance with project drawings, specifications, local regulations, and company policies. This role involves inspection, reporting, process improvement, and coordination with the project and design teams, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) plans, procedures, checklists, and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) specific to fit-out projects (e.g. partitions, ceilings, flooring, joinery, finishes, furniture). Perform site inspections during all stages (preparation, during works, and final) to ensure workmanship and materials conform to project drawings, specifications, standards (local & international), and safety regulations. Review material submittals, method statements, samples, mock-ups, and shop drawings to ensure they meet quality requirements. Raise and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), site observation reports, quality issues; follow up corrective and preventive action plans and ensure closure. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal teams to resolve quality issues on time. Maintain accurate documentation: inspection reports, test reports, WIR/MIR/MAR (or equivalents), quality logs, material certificates, warranties. Conduct internal audits, monitor compliance with quality management systems (e.g. ISO 9001) and client's / consultant's requirements. Attend QA/QC meetings with clients / consultants; present findings and proposed remedial actions. Support training and awareness of quality standards among site staff and subcontractors. During project close-out, ensure all QA/QC documentation is compiled and submitted (e.g. O&M manuals, warranty certificates, commissioning, testing reports). Suggest and implement continuous improvements in processes, methods, and materials to enhance quality, reduce rework, and improve client satisfaction.

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Construction Engineering, or equivalent.
