Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented

QA/QC Engineer

to oversee and implement the Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures for construction projects. The ideal candidate will ensure that all construction activities meet the required quality standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements, while supporting continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

?Implement and monitor the project quality plan, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and relevant procedures.

?Conduct regular site inspections and monitor all ongoing construction activities to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.

?Review and verify material submittals, method statements, and shop drawings for compliance with contract documents.

?Prepare and maintain comprehensive QA/QC documentation, including inspection reports, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and quality records.

?Conduct inspections and testing of materials, workmanship, and completed works as per approved ITPs.

?Coordinate with site engineers, subcontractors, and consultants for quality-related matters.

?Ensure that all materials and works delivered to the site are inspected and conform to the approved submittals and specifications.

?Support the project handover process by ensuring that all required QA/QC documentation and as-built records are complete and accurate.

?Participate in internal and external audits and assist in closing any corrective actions.

?Promote a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement on-site.

Qualifications and Skills:

?Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

?Minimum 6-8 years of experience in QA/QC roles within the construction industry (buildings, infrastructure, or both).

?Solid understanding of construction materials, methods, and quality standards.

?Familiar with ISO 9001:2015, and capable of working within certified quality management systems.

?Strong knowledge of testing procedures, inspection methods, and relevant local/international standards.

?Ability to prepare technical reports and maintain documentation.

?Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.

?Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel) and relevant QA/QC software tools.

Preferred:

?Experience with GCC or large-scale construction projects.

?Certification such as QA/QC Civil, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, or CSWIP/BGAS (for applicable disciplines) is an advantage.

?Knowledge of HSE integration with QA/QC is a plus.
