Job Description

Job Summary:
The QA/QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring that products and processes meet established quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. They develop and implement quality control procedures, conduct inspections, and work with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues. The role involves monitoring production processes, performing audits, and ensuring compliance with industry standards (ISO, ASME, ASTM, etc.).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality Assurance (QA):

• Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100, or other relevant standards.
• Prepare and review Quality Plans, Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), and Method Statements (MS).
• Conduct internal audits and support external audits (customer, third-party, regulatory).
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, customer specifications, and legal regulations.
• Document and report non-conformities (NCRs) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

2. Quality Control (QC):

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of materials, components, and finished products.
• Conduct dimensional, visual, and functional testing using tools like calipers, micrometers, CMM, etc.
• Oversee welding inspections (NDT - RT, UT, MT, PT, VT) if applicable.
• Review material certifications (MTC), mill test reports (MTR), and calibration records.
• Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards.

3. Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain inspection records, test reports, and quality logs.
• Prepare Certificates of Compliance (CoC), Material Test Reports (MTR), and other quality documentation.
• Generate daily/weekly quality reports for management review.

4. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:

• Work with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues.
• Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for defects and process failures.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance product quality and efficiency.
• Train employees on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
