Role Summary

The

QA/QC Engineer

ensures that construction works are executed in full compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, international standards, and the company's quality management system. The role involves proactive site inspections, documentation control, and coordination with consultants and internal teams to maintain high-quality standards on all high-rise building and tower projects.

Key Responsibilities

Review and implement

Project Quality Plans (PQP)

,

Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)

, and

Method Statements

for various construction activities. Conduct

regular site inspections

to monitor work execution, ensuring compliance with

project specifications, drawings, and QMS procedures

. Raise and manage

Inspection Requests (IRs)

and

Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)

and follow up on corrective/preventive actions. Coordinate with

consultants, clients, and subcontractors

for inspections, approvals, and material testing. Verify

material submittals

,

test reports

, and

manufacturer certificates

before use at site. Maintain and organize

QA/QC records

, reports, and quality documentation. Participate in internal audits, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives. Assist in the training and guidance of site staff on

quality control procedures and documentation

. Ensure all construction activities follow

local authority guidelines

,

international standards (ASTM, BS, ACI)

, and G & B's internal quality benchmarks.

Skills & Competencies Required

Thorough understanding of

ISO 9001:2015 QMS

, construction quality procedures, and documentation standards. Proficient in reviewing and implementing

ITPs

,

method statements

, and

checklists

. Hands-on experience with

civil works QA/QC

in

high-rise/tower construction projects

. Strong knowledge of

concrete works, rebar, formwork, blockwork, plastering, waterproofing, finishing

, etc. Familiarity with

testing procedures

(concrete compressive strength, slump, cube tests, etc.). Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and document control systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in

Civil Engineering

or equivalent from a recognized university. Minimum

5-8 years of QA/QC experience

, with at least

3 years in the UAE or GCC

on

high-rise building projects

. Certification in

ISO 9001 QMS

,

Internal Auditing

, or equivalent is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with prior experience in the

UAE or GCC

are highly preferred. Experience working with

reputable large construction companies

known for delivering major high-rise and commercial buildings will be an added advantage. Experience coordinating with international consultants and third-party laboratories is a plus.
