Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated

QA/QC Engineer

to oversee quality assurance and control activities within our ship repair division.

The candidate must have hands-on experience in steel fabrication, piping, hull repairs, coating, and machinery inspections, as well as strong knowledge of

ISO standards, classification society requirements, and internal audit processes

.

Experience in supporting

management review meetings

in accordance with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement and manage the QA/QC system for ship repair and conversion projects in compliance with ISO and marine regulations. Supervise inspections for steel structure renewals, piping, coating, machinery installation, and outfitting works. Review and control

WPS, PQR, and WPQ

, and verify compliance of welding activities and personnel. Lead and coordinate

internal audits

and support

external certification audits

(ISO 9001, 14001, 45001). Prepare and present reports for

management review meetings

, including QMS performance, NCR analysis, and KPI trends. Liaise with classification societies (DNV GL, ABS, BV, LR), clients, and third-party inspectors for inspection and certification requirements. Maintain full documentation of quality records, inspection reports, ITPs, and audit logs. Oversee proper handling and storage of welding consumables and ensure traceability. Drive continuous improvement through root cause analysis and lessons-learned implementation.

Qualifications and Certifications:

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Marine Engineering. 3-5 years of relevant QA/QC experience in

ship repair and dry docking

. Certified

Welding Inspector

(CSWIP 3.1/3.2 or AWS-CWI) - Mandatory. Certified

Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor

for ISO 9001,14001 & 45001. Proven experience in managing

internal & external audits

and

management review meetings

. Strong understanding of

quality KPIs, risk-based thinking

, and ISO clause requirements. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
