Job Description

The QA/QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all materials, processes, and works executed at the project site meet the required quality standards, project specifications, and applicable codes. This role involves implementing quality assurance plans, conducting inspections, managing documentation, and coordinating with project teams to maintain consistent quality performance throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement project-specific Quality Assurance and Quality Control plans. Review project specifications, drawings, and method statements to ensure compliance with quality standards. Conduct inspections and tests on materials, equipment, and works at various stages of construction. Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and consultants regarding quality-related matters. Monitor non-conformance reports (NCRs) and corrective/preventive actions. Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation such as inspection requests (IRs), test reports, calibration records, and material submittals. Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with ISO standards and project procedures. Support the site team in ensuring all works meet client and regulatory requirements. Participate in project meetings to resolve quality issues and provide recommendations. Ensure proper handover documentation and close-out reports at project completion.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or relevant field). Minimum 3-7 years of experience in QA/QC within construction, MEP, or infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001). Familiarity with international standards (ASTM, ASME, BS, etc.). Excellent communication, documentation, and reporting skills. Attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve quality issues effectively. Certification in QA/QC or related discipline is an advantage.
