We are currently seeking a highly qualified and experienced

QA/QC Engineer

to join our client a leading

Marine Engineering Company

for oil and gas infrastructure projects in Qatar. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in

Quality Assurance and Quality Control

, with in-depth knowledge of

international standards

,

management systems

, and

QA/QC documentation processes

. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in

Qatar

, especially those with

MMUP accreditation

and a proven background in

oil & gas

construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain

Project Quality Plans (PQP)

in compliance with

ISO 9001

,

QCS 2014

, and relevant project specifications. Conduct

quality inspections

of site activities, materials, and works executed by

contractors, subcontractors, vendors

, and

manufacturers

. Prepare and manage key QA/QC documentation such as:

Method Statements (MST)

Inspection Test Plans (ITPs)

Work Inspection Requests (WIRs)

Material Inspection Requests (MIRs)

Material Approval Submittals (MAS)

Project Quality Dossiers (PQD)

Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)

Oversee and verify the implementation of the

Quality Management System (QMS)

and ensure ongoing compliance with project and contractual requirements. Conduct or participate in

internal and external audits

(ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001), and follow up on audit findings and corrective/preventive actions. Utilize data analysis and statistical tools to monitor trends in quality performance and recommend improvements. Provide formal training and mentorship to site staff and junior engineers regarding QA/QC procedures and best practices. Review project specifications, construction drawings, and method statements to ensure alignment with QA/QC requirements. Coordinate with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders to resolve quality-related issues in a timely and professional manner. Prepare and submit periodic

quality reports

,

inspection logs

, and

audit summaries

to the Project Manager and QA/QC Manager.

Minimum Requirements

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in

Civil Engineering

(mandatory).

MMUP accreditation

(Engineer Classification) in Qatar is a strong advantage.

Experience:

Minimum of

10 years

of relevant experience in

construction QA/QC

, with at least

5 years in oil & gas projects

. Strong knowledge and working experience in

Qatar

, particularly in

Doha

or

Ras Laffan

, is preferred.

Certifications:

ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor

certification (IRCA or equivalent) is highly desirable. Familiarity with

ISO 14001:2015

and

ISO 45001:2018

standards is an advantage.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in

QA/QC documentation

, report writing, and statistical data analysis. Strong command over

QCS 2014

,

BS

,

ACI

, and relevant

international codes and standards

. Excellent understanding of

QA/QC terminologies

and workflows including

PQP, ITP, WIR, MIR, MAS, PQD, and NCRs

. Computer literacy, including MS Office Suite and QA/QC management software.

Soft Skills:

Strong

communication and interpersonal skills

for effective coordination with stakeholders. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining high attention to detail. Problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a proactive approach to quality improvement.

Based on project, with potential for extension
