Job Title:

QA/QC Engineer - Aluminum and Facade

Must have Site experience Must have Drivers License

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance and Control:

Develop and implement quality assurance and control procedures for aluminum and facade projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications. Conduct inspections and audits at various stages of the project to verify material quality, workmanship, and compliance with project requirements. Monitor the implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure all activities align with company policies and standards.

Site Inspections:

Perform regular site inspections to assess construction processes and identify potential quality issues. Document and report any deviations from established quality standards, and work with project teams to implement corrective actions. Collaborate with site personnel to ensure quality control measures are being followed during installation and fabrication processes.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain comprehensive records of quality control inspections, test results, and non-conformance reports. Prepare quality reports and presentations for management and project stakeholders, outlining findings, trends, and recommendations for improvement. Ensure proper documentation and approval of material submittals, shop drawings, and inspection requests.

Training and Support:

Provide training and guidance to project teams on quality standards, procedures, and best practices. Collaborate with the QA/QC Manager to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary training programs.

Communication and Coordination:

Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to address quality-related concerns and ensure effective communication regarding quality standards. Participate in project meetings to discuss quality issues, status updates, and corrective actions.

Requirements:

Educational Background:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum of 3-5 years of QA/QC experience in the aluminum, facade, or construction industry, with hands-on site experience.

Skills:

Strong understanding of quality assurance principles, methodologies, and relevant industry standards (ISO, ASTM, etc.). Proficient in quality control tools and techniques, including inspection methods and reporting. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with diverse teams. Valid driving license with the ability to travel to various job sites as required.

Preferred:

Certification in Quality Assurance/Control (e.g., CQI, CQM) is a plus. Experience with software tools for quality management and reporting.
