QA/QC

includes implementing and managing quality systems, conducting inspections of materials and work, and documenting findings and corrective actions. Responsibilities vary by role but generally involve ensuring a product or project meets all specified quality standards, regulations, and customer requirements through proactive quality assurance and reactive quality control.

Key responsibilities:

Implement and manage quality systems:

This involves developing and maintaining a quality management system, creating quality plans, and ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and followed.

Conduct inspections:

Perform regular checks and audits on materials, equipment, and processes to ensure compliance with standards and specifications. This can include everything from inspecting raw materials to checking final products.

Monitor and document:

Keep detailed records of inspections, noting any deviations or defects. Prepare quality control reports and monitor subcontractor performance.

Coordinate corrective actions:

Work with relevant teams to investigate and resolve non-conformities. This includes proposing and implementing corrective and preventive actions.

Ensure compliance:

Verify that all work adheres to company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with teams:

Work with cross-functional teams, including engineering, project management, and subcontractors, to address quality issues and drive improvements.

Typical skills and qualifications

Technical knowledge:

A strong understanding of the specific industry, products, and related quality codes and standards (e.g., ISO, ASME, ASTM) is crucial.

Analytical and problem-solving skills:

The ability to analyze data, identify root causes of quality issues, and develop effective solutions is essential.

Communication skills:

The role requires clear and effective communication for reporting findings, coordinating with teams, and training personnel.

Attention to detail:

Meticulous examination and accurate record-keeping are critical for ensuring high-quality output.

Education and experience:

A bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering (MEP) or technical field is often required, along with a minimum of 2 - 3years of experience. Specific certifications can be advantageous.
