The QA/QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all products, materials, processes, and systems meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements. The role involves implementing quality control procedures, conducting inspections and tests, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to ensure optimal product and process quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement QA/QC procedures, inspection plans, and quality documentation in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
Perform inspections and tests on materials, equipment, and work processes to ensure compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality plans.
Coordinate and perform material receiving inspections and monitor supplier quality performance.
Ensure proper documentation of inspections, test results, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
Investigate and report on quality issues, providing root cause analysis and implementing corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
Maintain calibration records for all test equipment and instruments.
Liaise with project teams, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to resolve quality-related issues.
Support audits and assessments by internal and external parties.
Provide training and guidance on quality standards and procedures to personnel as required.
Ensure adherence to ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and client-specific quality requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related discipline).
Minimum 1 years of experience in QA/QC roles.
Strong knowledge of quality standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., ISO 9001, ASME, ASTM, API).
Experience in reviewing and preparing QA/QC documentation such as ITPs, method statements, and test reports.
Familiarity with inspection tools and techniques.
Proficient in MS Office and quality management software (if applicable).
Certification in quality (e.g., CSWIP, AWS, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor) is an advantage.
