Qa/qc Engineer
Job Description
Implement and maintain the project-specific QA/QC plan and procedures.
Conduct site inspections and monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, codes, and standards.
Prepare inspection test plans (ITP) and ensure all inspections are conducted and documented properly.
Liaise with consultants, clients, and third-party inspectors to coordinate inspections and resolve quality issues.
Maintain and update quality records including inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
Monitor subcontractor work for compliance with quality standards.
Assist in internal and external audits and ensure closure of audit findings.
Identify and report any non-conformities, and participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Ensure material approvals and method statements are in place before execution.
Train and guide site staff on QA/QC procedures and standards.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field. Minimum 3-5 years of relevant QA/QC experience in the construction industry, preferably in the UAE or GCC region. In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and quality standards (e.g., BS, ASTM, ISO). Familiarity with ISO 9001 QMS and local regulatory requirements (e.g., Dubai Municipality, ADM, DDA). Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills. Certifications such as ISO Lead Auditor, CQI/IRCA, or relevant technical certifications are a plus. Proficient in MS Office and QA/QC software (e.g., Aconex, Procore).
