Job Purpose:

QA/QC Supervisor is responsible for the interaction &coordination with SAPMT & Contractor for all technical correspondence & information requests relating to the construction, installation, maintenance, inspection, and commissioning of the Ras Al Khair shipyard facility.

Key Accountabilities & Working Relationships

Key Accountabilities:

Manage the flow of information (IMI & SAPMT/Contractor) ensuring it is documented and tracked. Develop, manage, and continually improve the Design Quality Management System Provides supervision, training, development, and performance management of direct reports. Develop, manage and continually improve the stage wise inspections, PMCC, MCC, Commissioning, endurance test and final handover of each asset. Ensure responses for information requests are dealt with in an efficient manner. Attend meetings with SAPMT & Government Bodies as required documenting minutes providing feedback to IMI Management. Support IMI Departments providing regular Quality status reports. Prepare and deliver presentations to Executive Management as required. Arrange site visits for IMI Departments as required during the construction phase. Work closely with HSE to engineer out potential hazards, to provide a safe working environment, for all employees. Manage training Document Management System and Quality Management system. Planned and executed multiple tasks to ensure controlled documents were managed per procedures. Provided coaching to personnel on Quality systems (QS) to include document control and training. Acted as liaison with electronic quality systems vendor(s). Perform solutions designs support field efforts processes submittals and review stats. Provide guidance and assist the operations and project teams for the implementation of corporate QMS and company management initiatives, functions, and systems. Ensure that the EPC Contractor, Sub-contractors, and other members of the project team observe Quality Assurance guidelines, and report violations of procedure. Manage the Inspection and Test Plan process in conjunction with relevant IMI Department. Make regular visits to Ras Al Khair construction site to inspect status. Utilize knowledge of asset management standards ISO 55000/1/2 and implement during project execution phase as necessary. Conduct periodic Quality Assurance Audits

Who we are looking for

Education:

Diploma degree in Mechanical or Marine Engineering

Experience:

At least 11-15 years of industry experience. At least 5 years' experience in project management role (Supervisor) in shipbuilding, oil & gas, or equivalent industry.

Professional Qualifications:

Mandatory Certification: CSWIP 3.1, BGAS Grade 2 or NACE Level-II and Certification from ASQ like CQM, CQE or CQA. ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor & proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point, Project.

Promote a 'can-do' team spirit creating a culture of high standards, work ethic and job satisfaction within the department. Business Acumen - Experienced in developing, implementing, and sustaining new business directions/functions with appropriate commercial and technical acumen.

Languages:

Good communication skills in English (oral and written) Knowledge in Arabic language is an advantage.
