Responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance and quality control systems for offshore oil & gas EPCIC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation, and Commissioning) projects. The role ensures compliance with client specifications, international codes and standards, regulatory requirements, and company quality management systems. The QA/QC Manager will oversee inspection, testing, auditing, and reporting to drive continuous improvement and deliver defect-free project outcomes.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Quality Management & Compliance
Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Plan (PQP) in line with corporate QA/QC procedures, ISO standards, and client requirements.
Ensure compliance with international codes/standards (API, ASME, AWS, ISO 9001, ISO 17025, etc.), project specifications, and contractual obligations.
Liaise with client representatives, classification societies, and third-party agencies for inspections and approvals.
Project Execution
Monitor and control quality activities during engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning phases.
Review and approve method statements, inspection test plans (ITPs), quality procedures, welding procedures (WPS/PQR), and material certifications.
Manage quality surveillance at subcontractor and vendor facilities, ensuring equipment and materials meet specified requirements.
Inspection & Testing
Lead a team of QA/QC Engineers and Inspectors (civil, mechanical, piping,electrical, instrumentation, NDT, coating, welding).
Ensure effective inspection coverage for structural steel, piping, subsea equipment, offshore structures, and installation aids.
Oversee NDT, FAT, SIT, hydrotesting, load testing, coating, and offshore inspection activities.
Auditing & Reporting
Plan and conduct internal and external audits to assess compliance with QA/QC standards.
Identify non-conformities (NCRs), implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and track closure.
Prepare and submit weekly/monthly quality reports to management and client representatives.
Maintain project quality records, dossiers, and as-built documentation for final handover.
Leadership & Coordination
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to QA/QC staff and site teams.
