Job Overview:
Vision Bank is seeking an experienced Test Manager to lead quality assurance across Islamic Banking applications, primarily focusing on iMAL (by Azentio), Murabaha deposit & loan products, automation testing, and vendor management. The ideal candidate will oversee end-to-end test planning, execution, and delivery for multiple product streams within the bank's transformation roadmap.
Key Responsibilities:
Test Planning & Strategy

• Define the test strategy, scope, and approach for core banking (iMAL) modules including Murabaha Deposits, Loans, and General Ledger.
• Create and maintain test plans, test scenarios, and traceability matrices aligned to Islamic banking principles and regulatory standards.

Execution & QA Governance

• Lead end-to-end testing activities: SIT, UAT, regression, system integration, and production sanity.
• Ensure adherence to test processes, defect lifecycle, and quality KPIs.
• Establish governance for both manual and automation test streams.

Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination

• Act as the primary QA contact for external vendors (e.g., Azentio for iMAL) and ensure SLA adherence for testing deliverables.
• Work with business analysts, project managers, developers, and third-party providers to track progress and risks.

Automation & Tools

• Drive automation initiatives.
• Oversee the development and execution of reusable automation scripts for regression testing.
• Ensure integration of automation with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.).

Team & Delivery Management

• Manage a team of functional and automation testers across projects.
• Review test progress, manage risks, escalate issues, and provide test status reports to leadership.
• Mentor junior QA staff and foster a culture of ownership and accountability.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong domain knowledge in Islamic banking, especially Murabaha deposits, Murabaha financing/loans, and related Sharia-compliant workflows.
• Hands-on experience with iMAL (core banking platform by Azentio/Path Solutions) - especially modules related to finance, deposits, and GL.
• Solid understanding of test lifecycle management, QA metrics, and structured defect management (JIRA, HP ALM, Zephyr, etc.).
• Exposure to UAE Central Bank regulations, product workflows, and regional compliance practices.
• Experience in test automation frameworks and tools.
• Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• ISTQB Certified (Advanced Level preferred).
• Experience working in GCC region, especially Abu Dhabi-based banks.
