Job Description

  • Act as a crucial component in the medical equipment supply chain which aims to source, procure, import, store and deliver medical items across multiple offices; under the direction of the Head, assist in planning, and forecasting, preparing orders according to program needs and carry out importation procedures and Tax exemption.
  • Adhere to all relevant HSE and Risk management procedures, instructions and controls.
  • Process all requisitions for medical equipment received from Materials Management, ensuring they are adequately completed.
  • Support staff to correct or provide additional information, when necessary, while formally incorporating each medical equipment finished requisition into the Supply Chain database.
  • Negotiate with requester, budget holder, and vendors when necessary.
  • Monitor importation rules and regulations and ensure that the group is able to import item to be procured.
  • Ensure that all cargo tracking are followed up and relevant stakeholders are informed regularly.
  • Work closely with other team members and give necessary support when needed.
  • Ensure the creation and maintenance of a database containing prices, supplier information and specifications of medical equipment and other items allowed to be procured locally.
  • Keep all soft and hard copy of original shipping documents including quality certificates systematically in the server.
  • Coordinate with Logistics to ensure that the reception of all cargos at port and airport are matched with purchase order and shipping documents in terms of quantity and quality of the goods.
  • Work closely with the Procurement Coordinator to ensure all necessary paperwork is provided for the supply chain management filing system.
Skills
  • Knowledge of Purchasing and Financial Control Procedures.
  • Knowledge of the local Healthcare market, including familiarity with the local Pharmaceutical supply market.
  • Proficient in English, Arabic proficiency is a plus.
  • Experience using Microsoft office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

  • Kuwait City: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
Experience:
  • minimum 2 to 4 years healthcare (Required)
