Job Title Purchasing Officer

Description

The role includes but is not limited to the following tasks: Verifies purchase requisitions by comparing items request to master list clarifying unclear items and recommending alternatives. Forward available inventory items by verifying stocks and scheduling delivery. Prepares purchase orders by verifying specifications and price and obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items obtaining approval from requisition department. Verifies receipt of items comparing items received to items ordered. Authorize payment for purchasing for purchasing by forwarding receiving documentation. Keeps Information accessible by sorting and filing documents. Provides purchasing planning and control information by collecting analyzing and summarizing data and trends. Updates knowledge by participating in educational opportunities. Negotiate contracts terms of agreement and pricing. Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices. Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed. Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage. Attend trade shows and exhibitions to stay up to date with industry trends Ensure proper handling of the Camp/Hotel/Resort in regard to theft, losses, damages, maintenance, safety and security measures, image and reputation Carry out any additional duties as instructed by your superiors. Provide the end-user/department head with information about new products, price, market condition and product availability Sending out detailed specification of required items to supplier intended for purchasing. Preparing comparison with at least 3 competitive price signed by Head of Department, Head of Finance and General Manager. Processing Purchase Order. Preparing tracking sheet of LPO for monitoring the delivery date, received/pending items and follow up. Preparing monthly savings report.

Education:
Bachelor's (Preferred)
Experience:
Hospitality: 5 years (Required)
Purchasing (for Hotels): 5 years (Preferred)
Storekeeper (for hotels): 4 years (Preferred)
Language:
English (Preferred)
License/Certification:
UAE Driving License (Required)
