Role Summary

Responsible for sourcing and procurement of goods. Purchases raw materials, equipment, tools, parts and supplies for a group of products/functions. Develops supply sources by interviewing potential suppliers, visiting current vendors to improve relations and assessing supply facilities and negotiating price. Ensures that the minimum level of inventory for the allocated commodities are maintained without jeopardizing the continuity of scheduled production within the customer release schedules. Participates as a strategic liaison with the relevant suppliers to ensure raw material requirements are satisfied.

Key Responsibilities

General: Negotiate agreements by analyzing supplier quotations and terms, achieve the best global commercial condition. Locate new sources of supply and establish new suppliers. Develop and maintain relationship with suppliers. Conduct supplier performance evaluations / supplier assessments. Implement strategies and solutions to improve cost levels, stable sources of supply, high quality of services and other governing factors related to the Purchasing Department and adjacent areas. Continually monitor and present Key Performance Indicators and ensure that Target Cost is controlled Accomplish enquiries, negotiations and nominations with the suppliers in accordance with the defined standards and procedures Represent Purchasing and support Project teams for all related Purchasing issues within a specific program Suppliers contracts (FWA) Change Management Plant Cost Improvement and maintenance in local systems Material Price Recovery (MPR) preparation and systems maintenance Daily operational tasks

Health and Safety Responsibilities: To organize workplaces according to the health and safety legal requirements and rules.

Information Security / IT Security: Compliance to all Magna and Seating EU rules and guidelines specially with regards to Purchasing.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

Graduate or Engineer level. Greater than 5 years purchasing experience in the automotive industry. Exposure to multicultural business environments. Good communication and negotiation skills Purchasing & Technical knowledge (product as well as processes) for metal content Tooling knowledge Raw material Knowledge Cost analysis Knowledge Knowledge of the contract Law Strategical View Intense knowledge of Costs Break Down and cost analysis techniques. Understanding of QS9000 / TS 16949 / IATF Working understanding of APQP and other project management techniques Advanced knowledge in MS Office Tools. English (B2) and local language Very good project management, leadership, and presentation skills. Managing, motivational, communication and organisational abilities.
