Position: Purchasing Manager (Full time #534564)
Property / Office: Mandarin Oriental, Muscat
Location: Muscat, Oman

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To ensure the procurement team procure right product with right price with in the right time frame verifying the right quality and right quantity.
  • Overlook the full procurement function of Mandarin Oriental Muscat.
  • Ensure procurement process is aligned with the existing purchasing policy for the procurement functions.
  • Tender Process: Float the tender to relevant vendor /contractor, organize the tender opening, prepare comparison sheep, final negotiation for decision making.
  • Contract: Initiate for new and renewal of contacts, invite proposals from prominent and relevant vendors, prepare a detailed comparison for making final decision.
  • Full in charge of CAPEX procurement, study the market for new innovation of products and services available based on the new technology and trend.
  • Verify the procurement process performed by the procurement team, correct or rectify as and when required.
  • Assisting all for sourcing specialty items and services with choices available in the market.
  • Clearing imported goods from the customs authority with necessary required documents
  • Develop and implement new strategy for procurement process and administration for the better result of the business. Organize purchasing meeting with senior managers once in a week to discuss the procurement challenge and collect the feedback to act accordingly.
  • All the approvals in the system is been obtained as per the authority matrix, and keep the system updated eliminating all unwanted PRs in the system.

  • Cross exposure in other Mandarin Oriental properties for best practices.
