Purchasing Manager
The Arts Club Dubai unveils an amazing opportunity for a talented artisan to join our passionate and creative team. The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for establishing a professional and efficient work relationship with suppliers in order to negotiate contracts for the purchase of required goods / services and keep accurate records of transactions trends. Also, to assist the Finance and Operational Departments in the monitoring, reporting and controlling of Cost of Sales in the Club, including audit and control, financial analysis and reporting, budgeting, forecasting etc.
What Will You Do
Your main duties and responsibilities are:
  • Ensure the efficient operation of the Purchasing Department in all aspects by implementing purchasing policies, systems and internal control procedures
  • Manage all purchasing functions, quotations, quality and availability
  • Manage contracts selection with Food Suppliers for quality
  • Monitor vendors for quality, service and price through standard purchasing specifications and ensure that the best product is sourced and purchased at the right price
  • Maintain logical storeroom inventory levels operationally needed
  • Assist in organizing capital expenditure, operating equipment requirements
  • Ensure that all authorized or approved purchase orders are sent to their respective suppliers/vendors for delivery purposes on a daily basis
  • Identify items for standing orders utilizing vendor\'s logistics for regular deliveries based on approved highly consumed items
  • Keep all documents, files and listings updated and organized in a way that can be checked at any time for information or audit purposes
  • Coordinate with Executive Chef for new products

What We Are Looking For
The successful candidate will have the following experience and skills:
  • Minimum 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in same or similar role in luxury hotels
  • Excellent level of English, written and spoken
  • Preferably Female who is based in the UAE
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with a high degree of flexibility
  • Excellent team management skills with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrate integrity in all dealings and maintain high level of confidentiality
  • Ability to work long shifts and sit for the extended period of time
