Job Summary: Looking for a Purchasing Manager in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE)

Job Key Details:

• Manage and measure the vendor as well as supplier cost, quality and delivery performance and make necessary suggestions
• Supervise supplier compliance with internal quality standards as well as external regulations
• Collaborate with relevant departments to effectively manage inventory requirements
• Handle all risks relating to quality, delivery cost as well as supply of purchases
• Ensure timely placement of purchase orders
• Supervise the operations and daily activities of the purchasing section
• Ensure continuous improvement of the purchasing processes in line with the changing organizational needs
• Generate regular reports on purchase commitments, costs as well as delivery performance
• Assess purchase orders for proper approval and compliance with company policy as well as procedures
• Manage the procurement policies to make sure all items are purchased and delivered within the budget
• Source for new suppliers and vendors if necessary
• Create and update vendor or supplier database regularly
• Prepare and properly manage the purchasing budgets as well as forecasts
• Set up and implement purchasing policies, procedures as well as best practices
• Create and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers as well as vendors
• Conduct any related discipline as may be required

Job Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a Degree in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management or an Engineering discipline
• Applicants must have more than 5 years of related working experience in a contracting company
• Must have good experience in finishing and contracting materials
• Strong networking and negotiation skills
• Must have excellent project management abilities
