to join our team in the construction office based in Sharjah.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the entire purchasing process, encompassing sourcing, vendor negotiations, the creation of purchase orders, and follow-up on deliveries.
Evaluate and compare suppliers, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely supply of goods/services.
Prepare, review, and process invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies and contractual terms.
Verify supplier invoices, reconcile statements, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Ensure timely payments to suppliers while maintaining proper cash flow management.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and payment transactions in ERP (Odoo).
Collaborate with internal departments to forecast purchasing needs and align procurement with operational requirements.
Monitor and report on accounts payable aging, highlighting potential risks.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities related to payables.
Support audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably within the construction. Previous experience in construction companies is a must.
Strong knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and local supplier markets .
Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills .
Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite .
Familiarity with UAE procurement regulations and documentation standards.
Experience preparing LPOs, maintaining supplier databases, and supporting internal audits.
Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines.
