Job Description
Job Title: PURCHASER Job Purpose Purchaser will play a crucial role in sourcing, negotiating, and procuring high-quality ingredients, products, and services per set requirements. This position requires a keen understanding of the food and beverage market, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers. Responsibilities & Duties
- Vendor Management: o Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers and vendors in the food and beverage industry. o Negotiate terms and conditions to secure advantageous agreements and contracts. o Monitor supplier performance, ensuring compliance with quality, delivery, and pricing expectations.
- Sourcing and Procurement: o Research and analyze market trends, pricing, and product availability. o Source and procure raw materials, ingredients, and finished goods according to quality standards and budgetary constraints. o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and anticipate the company\'s procurement needs.
- Cost Control: o Implement cost-effective strategies to optimize procurement processes and reduce overall expenses. o Regularly review and analyze supplier contracts, seeking opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
- Quality Assurance: o Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure that all purchased items meet the required standards and specifications. o Implement and maintain quality control procedures throughout the procurement process.
- Inventory Management: o Collaborate with inventory and warehouse teams to manage stock levels and prevent shortages or overstock situations. o Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and losses.
- Compliance and Documentation: o Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. o Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchases, contracts, and vendor agreements.
- Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Purchaser in the food and beverage industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and quality standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with procurement software is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Should have at least 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience as Purchaser
- Must be familiar with the current industry trends.
- Must have a valid UAE Driving License
- Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
