Job description We are seeking an organized, experienced Purchaser/ Buyer to join our growing team. In this position, you will research and negotiate the best price and quality for our supply needs. You will establish relationships and serve as a representative of the company when negotiating contracts, building vendor and supplier trust as well as track and monitor the delivery and confirmation of all materials and supplies. Responsibilities: Conducting product research and sourcing new suppliers and vendors. Sourcing materials, goods, products, and services and negotiating for the best available deals on needed items by looking up prices from multiple vendors and suppliers to find the highest-quality items for the lowest price. Performing inventory inspections and reordering supplies and stock as necessary. Inspecting stock and reporting any faulty items or inconsistencies immediately. Establishing professional relationships with clients as well as vendors and suppliers. Ensuring all stock is packaged appropriately and delivered to the correct location in a timely manner. Purchase orders, updating monitoring files as needed to record purchases made, when money has been received, and all other relevant information. Ensure that purchased orders are delivered by coordinating with warehouse and transport staff. Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ordering new items as needed to keep the inventory fully stocked and supplied. Meet with sales representatives to negotiate prices or order supplies. Maintaining a network of professional contacts, in order to discover new opportunities for good deals on orders. Forecasting demand for certain products and making orders accordingly. Preparing and processing requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment. To review items against approved Purchase Orders, highlighting and resolving any errors. To compare and confirm item pricing on the invoices, ensuring accuracy and highlighting/rectifying any discrepancies. Reconcile total food, beverage and stationery purchases with accounting monthly. Track and manage all delivery related documents on regular basis. Ensures that all procured products are of the quality and standard required, paying great attention to consistency and product quality. Qualifications:

  • Graduate/Diploma Equivalent with specialization in supply chain/operations.
  • 5-6 years of minimum experience in Supermarket, Food & Beverage or restaurant business.
  • Planned & organized.
  • Multitasking and Self-Motivated
  • Ability to handle stress and pressure.
  • Should be flexible and willing to work long hours or respond to emergency situations.
  • Considerable knowledge of hazards and safety precautions relating to equipment operation, loading and unloading of materials and food items.
  • Proficient with the use of the computer, especially packages relating to inventory.
  • Ability to think quickly and act fast.
  • Can join immediately.
