Responsibilities:
Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery timelines.
Request and compare quotations to ensure the best purchasing terms.
Prepare and process purchase orders in a timely manner.
Maintain updated supplier databases, price lists, and product records.
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery schedules with vendors.
Coordinate with stores, production, and accounts departments for material requirements.
Ensure timely delivery of materials and follow up with suppliers.
Monitor inventory levels and plan procurement based on stock requirements.
Check and verify materials received against purchase orders and invoices.
Handle import/export documentation if required.
Resolve issues related to delayed deliveries, quality concerns, or shortages.
Maintain proper documentation and filing for all purchases.
Prepare weekly and monthly purchase reports.
Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Purchaser/Procurement Officer (1-3 years+ preferred).
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Good knowledge of market trends and supplier networks.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and ERP software (if applicable).
Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Diploma/Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
